PASTA ARTS AND CRAFTS WITH MS. MIA – ES & ECC SUMMER PROGRAM 2020
Who would not want to make and wear macaroni necklaces? Not these ECC little ones! Today, our youngest Summer Program students created different jewelry using colored pasta. They also learned fun trivia about the pasta. For instance, did you know there are over 350 types of pasta around the world? This activity improves students’ fine motor skills, concentration, and creativity. It also allows them to share, communicate and help each other.
Our ES Summer Program students were also given a challenge with pasta: building the tallest tower using kitchen supplies like spaghetti and marshmallows! Aside from being tall, the towers must withstand strong “earthquakes”. Students were each given the same amount of spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. They used their creativity, concentration and showed great effort and teamwork when building their towers. Fantastic job everybody! And what a great way to end our Thursday “Arts and Crafts Day”!
