TAS Christmas Bazaar 2019 last Saturday, December 7, 2019, was such a success! In the cozy Christmas atmosphere, we welcomed teachers, students, parents, staff, vendors and visitors to join our last Christmas Bazaar celebrated here at the old campus. Seeing people shopping at vendors’ booths, enjoying musical performances from our own Glee Club and Urban Lights, immersing themselves in various fun activities, including handmaking snowflakes and archery funshooting, really brought joy to us – TAS one big community. Let’s look back at some of the best moments of the Bazaar through these photos, and Happy Holidays to you all!
Today, December 4, 2019, TAS gladly welcome representatives from RMIT University to organize hands on coding events with Sphero robotics for our students. This is an exciting and important part of TAS Hour of Code 2019 – 2020.
TAS students from Grade 5, 9, 11 and 12 enjoyed wonderful sessions of controlling spherical robots via the Sphero app from RMIT University. Firstly, all students got the chance to play some fantastic soccer games using the robots. Then Grade 9, 11 and 12 moved on to coding the robots to move from station to station, while Grade 5 kids got to create colorful images that were later shown on their robots. Everyone was having an amazing time experiencing the magic of coding.
Special thanks to RMIT University for bringing this magic to TAS students!
