GRADE 11 AND 12 STUDENTS’ FIELD TRIP TO LE CORDON BLEU COOKING DEMONSTRATION

Last Tuesday, October 08, 2019, TAS Grade 11 and 12 students went on a field trip to Le Cordon Bleu Cooking Demonstration in Ho Chi Minh city at Sofitel Saigon Plaza. This was part of October’s College and University Fairs 2019, and we are so honored to see TAS culinary interested students receive such an invaluable opportunity to experience what it would it be like to study at the most prestigious culinary school in the world. We would like to thank Le Cordon Bleu Paris for inviting us to this wonderful event, and hope that our students can attend many more events like this in the future.

SUSTAINABILITY CLUB AND CLASS 7F FIELD TRIP TO SUNNY FARM

The Sustainability Club and 7F advisory class went on a field trip to Sunny Farm on Monday, May 20, to learn about sustainable farming. On this eye-opening and educational trip, they visited the fruit trees, vegetable and herb gardens, bird aviary and rabbit enclosure. This trip also let them experience something they had never done before: building a fire on the clay pizza oven and cooking their own pizzas. The students made the pizza dough, vegan cheese and tomato sauce from scratch. Students and teachers also had time to add to a wall that was being built at the farm using the eco bricks they had created from sand, clay and straw. Overall, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

GRADE 7 FIELD TRIP TO CU CHI TUNNEL

Yesterday’s field trip to Cu Chi tunnel was such an eye-opening and interesting experience for our 7th graders. Arriving at this richly historical site, learning about its intricate structure, discovering the famous tunnel system, for these students, was absolutely unforgettable. We definitely want more TAS students to experience this unique field trip.

MSHS FIELD TRIP TO CƠM NIÊU SÀI GÒN RESTAURANT

Our MSHS Vietnamese class had such a wonderful lunch time on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn, where they got to taste amazing Vietnamese dishes. This tasty field trip is part of TAS Vietnamese curriculum to encourage students to experience true, authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Learning more about your own culture through foods and rediscovering the beauty of Vietnamese cuisine is always a great way to make Vietnamese class even more exciting.

MSHS FIELD TRIP TO SAIGON 3 RESTAURANT

Chinese cuisine is famous around the world for its wonderful, diverse flavors that surely captivate the diners’ taste buds. Our MSHS students experienced just that at Saigon 3 restaurant during yesterday’s lunch break, April 18, 2019. This gourmet field trip gave students the chance to broaden their knowledge about Chinese cuisine by enjoying lots of Chinese traditional dishes in a cozy ambiance. And who doesn’t love devouring a gourmet, delicious meal anyway?

VIETNAMESE CLASS FIELD TRIP TO HCMC FINE ARTS MUSEUM

While nurturing and training our students to become future global citizens with an international curriculum, we also don’t want our Vietnamese students to forget their Vietnamese root. With Vietnamese classes at TAS, students can always enjoy exciting and educational field trips like this one yesterday morning, April 17, 2019, when Ms. Nhung’s class went to HCMC Fine Arts Museum in District 1. There, they got to admire beautiful paintings that reflect Vietnamese people’s artistic perspective and their look at life. Overall, it was a long day but it surely was unforgettable.

MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISM CLASS FIELD TRIP TO LANDMARK 81

TAS Multimedia Journalism class brought our MSHS students to the Central Park in front of Landmark 81 in the morning of Tuesday, April 16, 2019, for a quest to take the most beautiful photos that can be used for journalism. The students were divided into groups; each group was assigned a different theme to take photos. Bracing the heat and the sunlight, our students really dug deep into the art of photography, with the feedback from Ms. Suzanne and Ms. Renée, and delivered their 10 best photos. Hopefully the lucky parents and classmates will get to see the artistic works of these hard-working students.

MSHS FIELD TRIP TO VIN SPACE ART STUDIO

Cutting and gluing to make a picture; that sounds like an activity for young kids. But when you let our MSHS students do it, the results are amazing. Cutting pictures from old magazines, gluing them together to get the students’ messages across was a task full of creativity and fun. Once again, Vin Space Art Studio is the place for that creative process to take place this morning, April 10, 2019. Who says art is just about drawing and coloring? We hope TAS students will get more opportunities to be exposed to different experimental art forms like this!

MSHS FIELD TRIP TO RINRIN PARK

This morning, April 5, 2019, TAS MSHS students embarked on a very interesting field trip to RinRin Park in Hoc Mon to complete a set of challenges. This beautiful park is famous for its koi fish, and also for the spaciousness that is perfect for a team challenge that required our MSHS students to finish their assigned tasks. These tasks could be from a simple request for someone to say “Hello” in Japanese, to a more complicated request, such as persuading someone to be filmed for the students’ video. Challenges like these are always fun, and TAS Mustangs clearly did enjoy their time at RinRin park.

MSHS FIELD TRIP TO VIN SPACE ART STUDIO

Another fascinating art field trip for our MSHS students to enjoy, when they visited Vin Space Art Studio this morning, April 3, 2019. At TAS, we always want our students to be exposed to different forms of creating art to broaden their artistic vision, and this field trip did just that. With Vin Space Art Studio, our students experienced a unique type of painting by using hand-carved wooden plaques. From the pictures they carved on the plaques, with paint rollers and a little bit of pressure, the students’ artistic visions were reflected beautifully on the paper. This painting technique requires a lot of dexterity, and surely our students have it! Special thanks to Vin Space Art Studio for this unforgettable experience.
